Our SCHOOL
Principal’s Welcome.
I am honoured to be the Principal of Windsor Primary School, and privileged to work with dedicated, highly skilled staff and an incredibly supportive school community.
At Windsor Primary we are committed to maximising student achievement. We want our students to be life-long learners and have the academic knowledge and the social, emotional and personal skills they need to navigate our ever-changing world.
High standards and expectations for academic performance, co-curricular participation and responsible citizenship underpin our aspirations for each student. These standards are fostered by students, staff and parents, together with a commitment to embrace the school’s values – determined, respectful, responsible, courageous, ethical - which make Windsor Primary an exceptional community.
Our school places strong emphasis on the development of each student’s learning capacity, by providing challenging experiences and personalised learning. Student learning is inquiry focussed with high importance placed on collaborative environments and point of need learning.
We provide a high-quality education across all areas of the curriculum and specialist programs – literacy, mathematics, science, humanities, sport / PE, digital learning, music, visual arts, drama, Greek, and our English as a second Language program.
Computers, tablets, robots and other electronic equipment are utilised in all classrooms, and integrated throughout the curriculum to strengthen the stimulating programs we provide.
The development of leadership skills of both students and staff is key focus at Windsor Primary. Staff professional learning ensures we are always improving the quality of our teaching. And through our many leadership opportunities for students, they learn the skills, values, and attitudes which are essential to be effective leaders throughout life.
We take pride in our student well-being programs which enable students to feel safe and secure in an orderly learning environment, and facilitate high learning outcomes for all.
One of the best things about Windsor Primary is the supportive community and parent involvement – from reading volunteers in the classrooms, to the parents and friends committee, or members of the school council, this involvement helps the students and creates a genuine warm community feel.
This website will give you a taste of Windsor Primary, but nothing compares to visiting us! Please call our office and arrange a tour. I look forward to meeting you and showing you why Windsor Primary is such a fantastic school.
Kind Regards
Peter Seddon
